Mrs. Tipton's Fours

Lead Teacher: Mrs. Colleen Tipton

Welcome to St. Mark's Preschool Four-Year-Old Program.

My name is Colleen Tipton and I will be your child's lead four's teacher this year. This will be my 21st year teaching at St. Mark's. I started as the lead three's teacher in 2000. I have been the lead four's teacher since 2007.

I attended Rio Grande University in southern Ohio. I have completed the 90 hour early childhood education course through Chesapeake College. I have also completed numerous workshops, conferences and seminars pertaining to early childhood education.

Our family moved from Ohio to Easton in 1991. My husband, Eric, works for the State of Maryland. Our oldest daughter, Shannon, is a dental hygienist in Charleston, SC. She lives there with her husband, B.J., and our almost two-year-old granddaughter, Darby. Our son, Joe, recently moved to Seattle, Washington with his wife, Hanna. He was recently hired by Boeing to do jet engine inspections. Our youngest daughter, Molly, lives in Baltimore with her husband, Mike. She is a field manager with Gallo wines.

St. Mark's is a wonderful place for your child to grow, learn and have a lot of fun!  Please contact me at etipton@goeaston.net with any questions or concerns. I look forward to a wonderful year ahead.
My name is Mary McCarty.

I have been an assistant teacher in both the 3 year old and 4 year old classes. This will be my 35th year at St. Mark's Preschool. I'm a lifelong resident of Easton. I enjoy baking, going to the beach, putting puzzles together and spending time with my family and friends. My husband, Ron, and I have been marries for 43 years. Ron is a Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent with Easton Utilities. We have two grown daughters that both attended St. Mark's Preschool. Our oldest daughter, Melissa, is married and is a dental hygienist. She and her husband, Erik, are the proud parents of our 8 1/2 year old grandson, Grant and our 5 1/2 year old grandson, Chad. Our youngest daughter, Sarah, is a Speech Language Pathologist in Annapolis and Kent Island. She and her husband, Kenny, are proud parents to their daughter, Rebecca who is 7 months old.

I've enjoyed meeting and working with so many young families here at the preschool. I am looking forward to another fun and exciting year.
